VST Tillers Tractors was incorporated in the year 1967 with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan as Joint Venture Partners for the manufacture of Power Tillers. Both products (tractors and tillers) are marketed in India through over 225 dealerships under the brand VST Shakti. The company has established a niche market for its compact four wheel tractor. It is used in inter-cultivation and spraying in vineyards, as well as in sugarcane and cotton fields. The company also trades in other farm machinery, namely Rice Transplanters and Reapers imported from China. It has regional offices in nine locations in India to facilitate the requirements of dealers. In 2010, VST Tillers Tractors acquired a 15 acre plot in Hosur for manufacturing small tractors.
